Abstract

Hey r/LocalLLaMA ! We're releasing new new Unsloth Dynamic v3.1 GGUFs for Qwen3.8-Flash-Next! They're better by 10-15% accuracy on DeepSWE, Terminal Bench, Aider Polyglot and more vs GSQ-RCO. We also provide a new engram switching process for BF16, Q8_0, Q5_1, IQ4_NL switching for all quants! This builds upon our DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash UD3.1 work, which improved over 10-20% accuracy vs others. All benchmarks are 256K for agentic ones, and 128K for the rest. We used temperature 1.0, top_p 0.95, top_k 20, min_p 0, no presence or repetition penalty. preserve_thinking and xhigh reasoning, and ran over 26B of tokens for benchmarking. Benchmarks are noisy so we did 26.2B tokens of benchmarking - DeepSWE accounted for 18.1B tokens of the total budget followed by Terminal Bench (5.2B tokens). We ran benchmarks multiple times including LiveCodeBench x3 times, HMMT and others 8-16x and agentic benchmarks multiple times. The engram switching process is described in https://unsloth.ai/docs/models/qwen3.8-next#mix-n-match-engrams with details on each precision and RMSE (error) below: file type size relative RMSE vs BF16 Qwen3.8-Flash-Next-engram-BF16.gguf_file BF16 102.4 GB 0 Qwen3.8-Flash-Next-engram-Q8_0.gguf_file Q8_0 54.4 GB 0.0053 Qwen3.8-Flash-Next-engram-Q5_1.gguf_file Q5_1 38.4 GB 0.0376 Qwen3.8-Flash-Next-engram-IQ4_NL.gguf_file IQ4_NL 28.8 GB 0.0757 All new UD 3.1 quants are at https://huggingface.co/unsloth/Qwen3.8-Flash-Next-GGUF Currently all smaller quants than UD-Q4_K_XL are updated - we might plan to update UD-Q4_K_XL and larger ones soon as well! Viggle Remake: open weights for recasting / editing whole videos.

Abstract

Weights: https://huggingface.co/Viggle/Viggle-Remake App: https://viggle.ai/meme/app/home?ui=v2 Post: https://x.com/ViggleAI/status/2118012913793290414?a=B6TBWhZywpFkFk8Iz8I&s=20 We just released Viggle Remake (based on H3) on Hugging Face: open weights for recasting people and editing scenes in existing videos, keeping the original motion, camera and soundtrack. Viggle Remake is built agent-first . We also ship an MCP server, so an agent (Claude Code, codex, …) can swap people in videos of any length. It cuts the video into windows, paints the keyframes, writes the prompts, renders, checks its own work and stitches the result. Our longest run so far is a 2-minute music video, and the repo includes everything needed to reproduce it. That also means it's more complicated than Viggle-Animate. Used by hand, Remake needs a well-structured prompt and a few painted keyframes, and the output depends heavily on both. That's exactly the work the MCP agent takes off your hands. If you'd rather skip all of it, the Viggle app does it for you. Also in the repo: ComfyUI nodes and workflows, int8/GGUF files for smaller GPUs, and smaller rank-128/64 LoRAs. submitted by /u/init-5 to r/StableDiffusion [link] [comments]

Anthropic’s FlashProve could prove an AI provider used the model you paid for without exposing its weights

/u/Spirited-Sir-3034 · discussion

Measured result 95%Usable today 46%First-party 30%
Abstract

Users currently have no independent way to confirm whether an AI provider served the requested model or quietly substituted a cheaper one. FlashProve addresses this by using zero-knowledge cryptography to prove that a particular model generated a response while keeping its proprietary weights hidden. Anthropic demonstrated the open-source system on a 400-billion-parameter model, generating proofs at roughly 110 tokens per second. However, the prototype requires 70 to 95 times more GPU time than ordinary inference, supports only 1,024-token contexts and does not yet cover every type of model output. Could cryptographic verification become standard for high-stakes AI services, even if it remains too expensive for everyday requests? submitted by /u/Spirited-Sir-3034 to r/artificial [link] [comments]

Abstract

Overview This release adds OCP FP8 E4M3 quantization support, a new flash_attn_ext_rows op that makes the unified KV cache efficient for multi-sequence inference, and a generic batched tensor copy API. Four new architectures are supported (Clover, Limite, Metis-1.6 and Mistral Large 4), audio generation and transcription expand with Chatterbox TTS, Nemotron 3.5 Transcribe and predefined Pocket TTS voices, and the Gemma 4 E2B/E4B models get major prefill optimizations. ggml is updated to v0.29.0, bringing FP8 E4M3, flash attention rows, NCCL-based multi-node tensor parallelism and performance work across the CPU, CUDA, SYCL, Metal, Vulkan, OpenCL and Hexagon backends. Abstract

We introduce Axion 1.0, a fully open agent foundation model that combines strong and broad agentic capabilities with a remarkably simple training recipe. Axion 1.0 is trained in only three stages: two lightweight supervised fine-tuning stages followed by reinforcement learning, without dedicated mid-training, direct preference optimization (DPO), or on-policy distillation (OPD). The first SFT stage develops strong self-contained reasoning through model-aware data construction, where we synthesize challenging problems and adversarially strengthen them based on the base model's own successful solution strategies. The second stage extends these capabilities to tool-dependent reasoning through a scalable pipeline for constructing diverse and automatically verifiable tasks grounded in real-world data sources and deterministic computation. Finally, reinforcement learning further strengthens long-horizon reasoning and interaction with external tools and environments. Despite this compact training recipe, Axion 1.0 achieves strong performance across a broad suite of agentic benchmarks and is competitive with leading commercial models on several of them. Equally importantly, Axion 1.0 is open beyond model weights: we release the complete recipe, including data construction, generation, filtering, verification, prompts, and training code, enabling the entire development process to be reproduced and extended. Axion 1.0 demonstrates that strong agent foundation models can be both open and simple, offering a practical and reproducible path toward advancing open agentic intelligence. arXiv : https://arxiv.org/abs/2611.03233 PDF : https://arxiv.org/pdf/2611.03233 GitHub : https://github.com/bytedance/axion1_0 Dataset : https://huggingface.co/datasets/Axion1-0/axion-training-data Project : https://axion1-0.github.io/ submitted by /u/pmttyji to r/LocalLLaMA [link] [comments]

Fizgig 9.0.4: Fibo 2.0 training, Z-Image Base, masks from Sam 3.1, Detail crops for styles

/u/shootthesound · discussion

Abstract

New models Fibo 2.0: LoRAs, edit LoRAs, sliders and full fine-tunes from a 12 GB card, with 4-step Turbo previews. Everything it saves loads in ComfyUI. ( guide ) The model arrived via a PR from @spaghettified26, thank you! Z-Image Base trains as its own model, with previews on Turbo. Training Masks from words: SAM 3.1 makes a mask of anything you name, and Edit masks lets you fix them by hand. Masked training now works on MiniMax H3 stills too. ( masked training guide ) Detail crops for style LoRAs: each picture also trains as a crop at its own scale, so brushwork and texture train pixel for pixel. A Style score in the Samples gallery tracks a style LoRA epoch by epoch. Transparent PNGs train with their transparency on Qwen Image 2.1. Start at a smaller size for about 20% less training time, plus caption dropout on every picture model and a steadier Adaptive LR. Three new optimizers: Prodigy, Muon and Automagic v4. Train on sub-folders. Captioning covers styles, objects and concepts, not just people, and a bigger 8B captioner is optional. Everything else 8 themes, a Run summary card, and Studio settings saved inside the pictures you download. Pods (RunPod, Vast.ai) log you in by themselves, and if a model is missing, Start downloads it. Thanks to everyone who sent PRs, issues and ideas. They're credited in the release notes. Qwen 3.8 27B on my laptop can interpret model weights, too

Measured result 87%Usable today 44%
Abstract

Yesterday's hot paper was Sparks of Weight-Space Programming: LLMs can natively read & write neural network weights by Rikiya Takehi, Jayden Teoh, Alex Zhang, and Omar Khattab. The paper (OK, the authors classify is as a "blog post", but it's paper-shaped) found that frontier models, in particular GPT-6 Astra, can both interpret and modify the raw weights of a machine learning model - literally a text description of the model containing a bunch of floating point numbers. I've been playing with one of the examples from the paper and I'm delighted to share that Qwen 3.8 27B running on my laptop can do this as well! Weight-Space Programming Here's the highlight from their abstract, describing impressive capabilities for GPT-6 Astra and coining the term Weight-Space Programming for when LLMs analyze and modify model weights: Just by looking at the raw weights, GPT-6 Astra can tell what a network was trained to do . And without any environment feedback, it has no trouble writing, from scratch, small game-playing networks that outplay networks trained with PPO for 100 million steps. Likewise, asked to make Qwen3.5-0.8B better at math without gradients, Astra identifies an issue in its weights causing reasoning loops that Qwen’s own model card warns about, and fixes this by natively editing 0.016% of the weights . With the same sampling settings, this weight correction raises MATH-500 from 7.9% to 48.1% and generalizes out of the box to instruction following, raising IFEval by 3x. All of this is possible without allowing Astra to write training loops. It uses its reasoning to figure out what each part of a neural network computes, or should compute, and changes the weights accordingly. We call this Weight-Space Programming . The paper combines two topics that I think deserve to be treated separately. The first is what models can do with raw weights without running tools or executing code. The second explores how well models, once armed with code, can run operations to update and improve other models. spaCy author Matthew Honnibal called the paper misleading for conflating the two, and Sean Goedecke deconstructed the Qwen3.5-0.8B update example as taking the same steps that a human ML researcher would use. I'm going to focus on the no-tools question, which I think is the more interesting of the two. The paper presents the first question as Can LLMs understand model behaviors from weights? They trained four neural networks to play simplified 10x10 grid versions of four classic computer games - Breakout, Pong, Pac-Man, and Freeway (I had to look that one up , it's an Atari 2600 game from 1981). Then they fed those weights (as floating point numbers) to an LLM along with the following question: The weights below belong to one policy network that was trained with reinforcement learning to play a game on this grid. Which game was it trained on? Work from the weights. You have no tools: no code execution, no calculator, nothing to run. This is a single response. The GitHub repository that accompanies the paper is RikiyaT/lm_understand-logs . The exp1_which_game folder contains the prompts they used, with weights for the four games: breakout/prompt.txt freeway/prompt.txt pacman/prompt.txt pong/prompt.txt I checked and, aside from the weights, each prompt is identical to the others. Trying it out with Qwen 3.8 27B and other models The prompts on GitHub are self-contained. My LLM tool has a -f/--fragment option which can be passed the URL to a text file to use as a prompt, which means I can run any of the above like this: llm -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/RikiyaT/lm_understand-logs/refs/heads/main/exp1_which_game/runs/breakout/prompt.txt \ -m openrouter/moonshotai/kimi-k3.1-pro This example requires the llm-openrouter plugin installed, and runs the Breakout prompt against Kimi K3.1 Pro via OpenRouter. Here's what I got back from Kimi K3.1 Pro , which successfully guessed Breakout after 9m 41s and 19,493 reasoning tokens. But how about Qwen 3.8 27B ? That's still my favorite model to run on my own laptop - it's just 17GB (I use this version ) and somehow feels close to the leading proprietary models of 2025. I fired up LM Studio , ensured Qwen 3.8 27B was loaded with a long context window (the default 8192 context failed with errors), installed the llm-lmstudio plugin and ran this command: LMSTUDIO_TIMEOUT=900 \ llm -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/RikiyaT/lm_understand-logs/refs/heads/main/exp1_which_game/runs/pacman/prompt.txt \ -m lmstudio/qwen/qwen3.8-27b (I had to bump the timeout up using an environment variable, see this issue .) After 46m 12s and 43,506 reasoning tokens, Qwen on my laptop returned a response that ended like this (here's the reasoning trace ): Game: A simplified Pac-Man-style gridworld: an agent moves through a fixed 8x8 maze with central and corner wall blocks, moving objects/ghosts, and reward targets/pellets. Description: The agent navigates a fixed maze-like 8x8 board, using current agent/moving-object/previous-frame cues to move through corridors, collect reward-target cells, and avoid moving objects or hazards. Confidence: 72% This is impressive. I tried it on two of the other games as well. It identified Pong ( reasoning ) in 1h 4m 54s: Pong — specifically a Pong-like paddle/ball game where the agent controls a vertical paddle on the right side and must move up/down to intercept or return a moving ball/reward object. Description: The agent moves a right-side paddle vertically to hit or catch a moving ball-like reward target moving across the 8×8 field, while a left-side moving object/opponent and wall borders define the play; reward is obtained by successfully intercepting/returning/scoring the ball, and missing or failing to hit it is penalized. Confidence: 75% And Breakout ( reasoning ) in 52m 25s: Game: Breakout, or an Arkanoid-like paddle/ball/brick game. Description: The agent is a paddle on the bottom row and moves left/right to keep a ball in play; the ball moves around the upper grid, and bricks/reward targets in the top rows give reward when hit, while missing the ball/hitting the bottom wall ends the episode or gives penalty. Confidence: 88% Qwen failed at the Freeway prompt, which didn't surprise me considering that game is more obscure than the other three. Here's that transcript - Qwen thought it was "A simplified Pac-Man-like grid game: agent moves 4-directionally". The reasoning traces are fun to skim, and almost incomprehensible. Here's a sample: What about agent channel0? We see some large channel0 rows near row8 col7/8 and maybe bottom? Let's list channel0 large: line436 input435 (row8 col7 ch0) -2.107,1.169,0.513...; line441 input440 (row8 col8 ch0) -0.376,0.010,1.564,3.855...; line445 input444 (row8 col8 ch4) 0.142,0.491...; line382? input381 ch0? Wait line382 input381: 381//5=76 (row7 col6), ch1? 381%5=1? 76 * 5=380, ch1. So not. Channel0 large maybe at row8 col7/8 only. Also top row? line44 input43 ch3, line49 ch3. Channel0 large maybe not many. Agent position could be near bottom-right? If the agent is typically at bottom-right? That said though, I expect a sufficiently experienced human being armed with a notepad and a pencil could get there with enough effort. It's a cool paper, but some of the wider commentary I've seen around it does not feel justified. I'm not ready to declare that the age of source code is over and our future involves incomprehensible machines editing their own model weights in incomprehensible ways. llama : fix on-device state copy sizes for quantized KV caches ( #30541 ) llama : fix on-device state copy sizes for quantized KV caches The on-device sequence state copies (LLAMA_STATE_SEQ_FLAGS_ON_DEVICE) computed their element count as size / ggml_element_size(). For a quantized type such as q8_0 or q4_0 that is the number of blocks, not elements, so only part of each range was copied: the restored state was wrong, or the copy crashed. Compute the count as size / ggml_type_size() * ggml_blck_size() for the save, the restore and the copy between differently chunked ranges, and assert that each range covers whole blocks. llama : drop the one-line comments llama : drop the redundant cast in the state copy size Website: https://llama.app Attestations: https://github.com/ggml-org/llama.cpp/attestations/63869663 macOS/iOS: macOS Apple Silicon (arm64) macOS Apple Silicon (arm64, KleidiAI enabled) DISABLED macOS Intel (x64) iOS XCFramework Linux: Ubuntu x64 (CPU) Ubuntu arm64 (CPU) Ubuntu s390x (CPU) Ubuntu 26.04 s390x (CPU) Ubuntu 26.04 s390x (zDNN) Ubuntu x64 (Vulkan) Ubuntu arm64 (Vulkan) Ubuntu x64 (CUDA 12) - CUDA 12.8 libraries Ubuntu x64 (CUDA 13) - CUDA 13.4 libraries Ubuntu arm64 (CUDA 13) - CUDA 13.4 libraries Ubuntu x64 (ROCm 10.0) Ubuntu x64 (OpenVINO) Ubuntu x64 (SYCL FP32) Ubuntu x64 (SYCL FP16) Linux arm64 (Snapdragon: CPU, Adreno GPU, Hexagon NPU) - setup guide Android: Android arm64 (CPU) Android arm64 (Snapdragon: CPU, Adreno GPU, Hexagon NPU) - setup guide Windows: Windows x64 (CPU) Windows arm64 (CPU) Windows arm64 (OpenCL Adreno) Windows x64 (CUDA 12) - CUDA 12.4 DLLs Windows x64 (CUDA 13) - CUDA 13.4 DLLs Windows arm64 (CUDA 13) - CUDA 13.4 DLLs Windows x64 (Vulkan) Windows arm64 (Vulkan) Windows x64 (OpenVINO) Windows x64 (SYCL) Windows x64 (ROCm 10.0) openEuler: DISABLED openEuler x86 (310p) openEuler x86 (910b, ACL Graph) openEuler aarch64 (310p) openEuler aarch64 (910b, ACL Graph) UI: UI

datasette-apps 0.3a0

Abstract

Release: datasette-apps 0.3a0 Datasette Apps adds support for hosting and editing custom HTML applications inside of Datasette. These can be created by hand, but it's easier to create them using LLMs via Datasette Agent . This release improves that integration: Apps can now be tagged in Datasette Agent chat messages by typing # , which autocompletes from the apps the user has permission to view. New app_add_stored_queries() and app_remove_stored_queries() tools let the agent manage which stored queries an app is allowed to call. Granting a write query requires approval from the user first. app_create() now checks that each requested stored query exists and that the user can view it, and asks the user to approve any write queries before the app is created. The "View app" buttons shown by the agent tools, and the links on # app references, now open the app full screen in the Datasette Agent panel. Tags: datasette , datasette-agent , datasette-apps
