Abstract

Gguf's: https://huggingface.co/LiquidAI/LFM2.5-24B-A2B-GGUF Free Demo: https://playground.liquid.ai "LFM2.5-24B-A2B is a 24B-parameter reasoning model with only 2B active parameters, built for fast, private agents on-device . It is the largest and final model in the LFM2.5 family, which now spans two orders of magnitude: from LFM2.5-230M to LFM2.5-24B-A2B. Best-in-class agent : Competitive with Qwen3.6-35B-A3B, a model with ~50% more total and active parameters, on agentic and tool-use tasks, scoring 48.09 on LiveClaw versus 38.19. Reasoning at MoE speed : Always thinks before it answers. With only 2B active parameters per token, each reasoning token is cheap. Efficient inference : Runs up to 1.7× faster than comparable MoEs on-device, with 184 tok/s on an Apple M5 Max and up to 21K output tok/s on a single NVIDIA B300 GPU. LFM2.5-24B-A2B is a general-purpose text-only reasoning model with the following features: Total parameters : 24.0B Active parameters : 2.45B Number of layers : 40 (30 double-gated short convolution blocks + 10 GQA) Experts : 64 per MoE block, top-4 routing Training budget : 36 trillion tokens Vocabulary size : 128,000 Context length : 131,072 tokens Languages : English, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Hindi, Russian, Polish Generation parameters : temperature: 0.1 top_k: 50 repetition_penalty: 1.05" submitted by /u/Skyline34rGt to r/LocalLLaMA [link] [comments]

llm-gemini 0.35

Measured result 97%Usable today 80%
Abstract

Release: llm-gemini 0.35 I added support to llm-gemini for the new Gemini 4 Argon model, made available today via the Gemini API and for customers of their $100/month subscription plan. Here are the low, medium and high pelicans . As expected, they are all excellent: Gemini has a track record of producing great SVGs, and are the only lab where I know their staff have invested in SVG specifically (and who have boasted about their pelicans before.) Here's the "high" illustration, which cost me 17.166 cents: The pricing is interesting. At launch, Argon is $2/million input and $10/million output - the same price as GPT-6 Sol, half the price of Claude Opus 5.5 and 1/5th the price of Claude Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra. But on December 1st Argon is set to double in price - so it will be the same price as Opus 5.5. Prices like this aren't really comparable these days since what really matters is how many tokens a model takes to achieve a goal within an agentic harness. One useful clue for that comes from Artificial Analysis, who publish the total cost to run their benchmark using each model. Argon is looking very good there - costing $2,407 to run the benchmark, putting it close to GLM-5.3 and significantly cheaper than OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta's latest models. When the price doubles it will still be a little cheaper than GPT-6 Astra. (I used ChatGPT to edit that chart ! The data is all correct, I checked - I needed to get that Gemini 4 Argon info box to display without overlapping the other numbers.) Some bonus examples using Gemini 4 Argon: here's Generate an SVG of an armadillo in fishnet tights jaywalking on Mars , here's a Fabergé egg it created for me using Blender, and DeepMind staffer @fofrAI shared a video of a pelican riding a bike, using fourier epicycles . That's a fun new twist! Tags: google , ai , generative-ai , llms , llm , gemini , llm-pricing , pelican-riding-a-bicycle , llm-release

Gausify Orbit is now open source: turn AI-generated 360 orbit videos into Gaussian Splats, entirely in your browser

/u/obraiadev

Usable today 94%First-party 69%Measured result 55%
Abstract

A few days ago I posted “ Gausify Orbit - I am building a web application to transform images into Gaussian Splats ”, and it was removed because the project wasn’t open source yet. It’s now released under the MIT license , so here it is again, with a lot of updates. What it does You give it a video that circles around a subject. That can be a clip from a video model (I mostly make mine in ComfyUI using Minimax H3 + 360 LoRA by pablodawson), a phone video, or a folder of images. You get back a 3D Gaussian Splat you can view, export or share. Running in the browser The web version runs the whole pipeline locally on WebGPU . Nothing to install, no Python, no CUDA, and your video never leaves your machine. After the first visit it even works offline. Here’s what happens in the tab: Frames: the browser decodes the video and keeps the sharpest frame in each window, spread evenly around the orbit. If the subject starts “melting” near the end (classic AI video problem), you can trim the range. Cutout (optional): SAM 2.1 on WebGPU. Draw a box or click a few points on one frame and it tracks the subject through the whole clip. Other options: RMBG-1.4 (opt-in, non-commercial license) and a chroma key with despill for green/blue screens. Masked training uses a random background, so you don’t get ghost silhouettes around the subject. Camera poses: a structure-from-motion I wrote for the browser, so no COLMAP needed: AKAZE features, matching in a WebGPU compute shader, and incremental reconstruction with bundle adjustment. Training: Brush compiled to WASM + WebGPU, with live previews in the 3D viewer while it trains. Export: .ply or compressed SOG , with optional merging of similar splats and SH trimming. Files typically end up 5–15× smaller. Share: an optional private, expiring link with a QR code. It opens in a viewer that works on phones and in VR/AR (WebXR). You need desktop Chrome or Edge with WebGPU. Speed depends on your GPU: in-browser training runs at roughly a third of native Brush speed, which is still very usable. New since the first post Refine angles the video never saw. The app renders the splat along a new camera path (from below, from above, a 360° turn at another height…), restores that clip with a video model in your ComfyUI, and fine-tunes the splat on the restored frames. This is the part I’m most excited about. ComfyUI integration with custom workflows: load your workflow exported with Export (API) , pick the input/output nodes, and expose fields like prompt, seed or LoRA strength to edit from the app. Project import/export: save everything as a .gorbit file, even mid-job, and reopen it later in the browser or the desktop app. Run each stage on its own: e.g., retrain with new settings without recomputing poses. You can also reject bad frames, and frames without a camera get a pose inferred from their neighbors. SAM 2.1 for subject isolation (described above). Image sequences or folders as input, not just video. Regarding Gaussian Splat refinement, I am running tests using LTX 2.5 + Decompression LoRA to fill in non-visible areas; while the results are good in some cases, using a LoRA specifically tailored to this scenario would certainly yield better results. The ComfyUI workflow for this refinement which can be integrated with Gausify Orbit , can be found here . Redesigning source control at Anthropic

Measured result 87%First-party 37%
Abstract

Redesigning source control at Anthropic Interesting piece from Anthropic describing why and how they built their own custom alternative to Git, based on the dramatic increase in rate of changes to their code after the past six months. In May 2026, Anthropic averaged around 2,500 code changes merged per day; as of September, we merged over 30,000 per day. They included a chart showing those changes. I had Claude modify their chart ( code here ) to add markers for the public releases of each of their models in 2026: This shows public release dates, not the date when models became available for Anthropic's internal use. My guess is that the introduction of Fable/Mythos class models is a key factor in the increased coding velocity. "Antique" is their new code review system. The source control system is called Scion, and sounds to me like a reinvention of centralized source control along the lines of Subversion. They had some pretty extreme requirements: The history of our main branch alone is almost 100 GB, and a compressed working copy is over 25 GB. We perform on the order of 25 million code checkouts per day for CI, before counting developer environments, agent sandboxes, and research jobs. Fetched naively, that would be over 600 PB of git traffic per day. The new system was built by a team of seven people, and the migration from Git was completed in five months. When asked on Hacker News about the lack of offline support, Scion engineer Nick G replied : Since Claude is by far the heaviest user of Scion and is necessarily online, this just wasn't important to do. As an aside, I've been trying adversarial review in my own projects recently, where you have a model try and find flaws (I often play Claude and GPT off against each other). This note from the article reflected my own experience with that: Anthropic also makes extensive use of adversarial review, and, while this is incredibly effective in many ways, it can also be myopic, so skilled engineers needed to steer Claude away from over-engineering parts of the system in response to hypothetical concerns.
